Well, this is going to be the most pathetic wrap up I’ve ever posted, and here come’s the reasons why. Not only was I crazy busy in May (you know finishing my degree and stuff) I was also in a book slump for the majority of the month, although I’m not sure I would have had time to read anyway. I’m super close to finishing university, so more posts will be coming your way!
1. A Court of Frost and Starlight by Sarah J. Maas (Novella in the A Court of Thorns and Roses series)
A Court of Thorns and Roses (ACOTAR) is a retelling of the classic Beauty and the Beast story. The series follows a young huntress named Feyre who is out hunting to feed her family when she comes across a wolf, but unknown to her it wasn’t just any wolf.
So this was a kind of disappointing novella where not much happened. I mean I still liked it but I also don’t see why it exists. You can read my full thoughts here.
2. Prep School Confidential by Kara Taylor (also known as Kara Thomas) (Book 1 in the Prep School Confidential series)
Anne Dowling lit her school on fire, it was an accident but her parents are still shipping her off to boarding school. But then one week in her roommate’s body is found and the entire school seems to be hiding something.
This book was a little bit young teeny for me, not that its really aimed at people my age anyway. But I still found it highly enjoyable and I had no idea what was going to happen. The mystery was complex even though there were some clichés throughout the novel. Its fun and I’m definitely planning on reading the second book.
Um, yea, that’s it.
What did you read this month? Let me know (it was probably more than me)
