April was a month of moving past my reading slump and reading some fantastic new and old books. It’s also the month I started this blog and started to drown in university work but overall it was a good month. So let’s look at what I read this month
1. Scarlet by Marrissa Meyer (The Lunar Chronicles, book 2)
This book was so close to being 5 stars for me but It just had a small miss. I enjoyed this book so much, it was fun, action packed and a bit nerve racking. But the reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was that I found it just wasn’t as good as the first book. I loved Cinder so much and as much as I loved Scarlet it just wasn’t as good, but I’m so excited to finish this amazing series.
2. Draekora by Lynette Noni (The Medoran Chronicles, book 3)
Wow. Is the best word I have to describe how I felt reading this book. I enjoyed the first two books in The Medoran Chronicles but with just this one book, it has now become one of my favourite series. I’m not even sure what to say about it, it was fun, addicting, the world building was incredible and honestly, just read it.
3. A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas (A Court of Thorns and Roses, book 1)
With the release of A Court of Wings and Ruin coming up I couldn’t help but re-read this book. And honestly, I think I enjoyed it more than the first time I read it. Maybe it’s because of my investment in the characters or love for these books, but I loved it so much more than the first time. If you haven’t read this series yet I highly recommend you go pick it up.
4. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (Harry Potter, book 4)
Another re-read and I don’t know what to say, it’s Harry Potter, Goblet of Fire is my favourite one and it was amazing, of course.
5. In 27 Day’s (In 27 Day’s, book 1)
I don’t have much to say about this book that I haven’t already said in my review. It was light, fun, cute and addicting and if you want to know more you can click below.
6. A Court of Mist and Fury (A Court of Thorns and Roses, book 2)
This is my all time favourite book and it was just as good as the first time I read it. I got excited just thinking about reading it, and all though I knew everything that happened, I still felt so much emotion while reading it. This book blew me away all over again, I knew it was amazing but I kind of forgot how amazing it actually was. Reading this again didn’t change my perspective on it, in fact, it reinforced that I love this book with all my heart. I also started reading A Court of Wings and Ruin yesterday and it’s already spectacular.
